hey fellow svtf owners, i am back NA. so if any of you can remember i went turbo hoping to never look back. I ended up with some serious internal damage!i will post pics soon! cyclinder's 3,4 were fried, 4 so bad that the piston adhered to the cylinder head. i had to get a whole new engine from focus salavage!!! Looks like it back to bolt ons and 160 whp. the list goes as such: thinking about cam gear but not sure.

tom said it could be a clogged fuel filter or something of that nature. but i mean the car only has 30k on it, but i'm not going to bad mouth him at all. i wish i knew what it was!!

Tom is a good tuner, but crap happens sometimes, it's just the luck of the draw.

so sorry to hear about that. stories like that make me think twice about going FI. but is 160whp tops for us in terms of NA. if it is that kinda makes me sad

oh yes it is before i went turbo i had every single bolt on minus cam gears and a dyno tune and had 158 whp.

hm, thats wierd, because isnt the SVT motor rated at 170hp stock. you wouldnt think that the parasitic loss is that much. you might wanna go with a smaller exhaust for more torque..haha

If you willing to spend money you can easily get around 180-190 whp NA.

But the question is are you willing to spend that much?

i have yet to see a dyno for a na svt to hit those numbers. i wouldn't even know where to begin. we already have a great header and intake mani. i guess you could bore out the block and better flowing head job. but even tom says it really not worth what it cost.

THATS a damn full race engine,w/ a intake mani i've never seen before! didn't really go into full detail. if i could pic up the vct delete dual cam gears, and that intake mani i would be kinda close maybe.!! thanks wasn't being a ass ethier

I have talk to Erick for around $2000 you can send him you head.

He would do

1-VCT delete
2- Zetec Cams + cam gear
3- port and pulish the head
4- valve job.

with this you should see 185-190 whp
