I know that even Ron has confirmed it (I guess he has an inside line to somebody?), but I still have not seen, in writing from an official source, that the Focus RS is coming in North America. I sincerely hope they do, it just irks me that Ford won't flat out say those words verbatim.

When I read this I thought, what...? it's right there...

So I clicked on the link to copy the words directly off the Ford website and... they are gone!! Well, at least reworded. Now the rewording is more vague if/when the RS is coming to the US. 2020?!? Bastages!!!

One article I read speculated that since there were announcing the GT, GT350, and Raptor that the RS would just end up being background noise. Ford is delaying the announcement to when it will create more buzz. Lots of other car shows coming up.

If you think about it. Several other announcements from other companies were drowned out by Ford's. Makes sense, plus Europe has the history of the RS so announcing it there would create more of a global buzz and poop on some of the other companies announcements.

Now if they would update to the 2015 Focus on their website it would be nice.

Hi all, long time no speak. :)

Unveiling of the (global) MK3 Focus RS will take place in Cologne, Germany on February 3rd.

In my capacity as Admin on FocusRSOC.com I have been invited by Ford to the event and look forward to being amongst the first to see the car in the flesh and find out what all the fuss is about

330hp and fwd? How much faith do they have in the revo knuckle?

My view of awd is the same as auto transmissions - too much to go wrong and too expensive to fix. So I will buy with either. But with 330hp I would probably prefer awd so the car isn't bogged down with overly enthusiastic traction control.

After going AWD, it would be too difficult to go back to FWD for me, especially in the winter. Not to mention my Subaru has been a hell of a lot more reliable than my Focus ever was...knock on wood...

I can think of any deal breakers unless they just slap some aftermarket bits on the ST. I don't want an expensive ST.

That being said. I need to know more important things like will grabber blue be offered?

Was the MKII RS colour limited?

I can only remember it in blue, green, black, and white.

I'd bet it'll be available in the Ford Performance blue.

Ultimate Green, Frozen White and Performance Blue according to my quick googling. I would imagine the same for MkIII however I wonder if they would make the same color options as the GT350 since they have unified the performance brands under one group.

Geography Terms yes, Market Terms no. When it comes to marketing you'll hear the phrase most often ''North America and Mexico" So really the answer is both yes and no, unless its for sale in a Dealership in the US its not considered North America in Marketing.

production numbers are set for the "North American Market". There are 3 RS markets, Europe, North American and Pacific Markets. All production numbers have been set for at least a year.

DAMN IT!!! I can't wait!!!

"We still don’t know all the details, but all-wheel-drive is a good bet, as is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. In that case, the Subaru WRX and WW Golf R are its natural enemies, and we’ll surely see a shootout once the RS hits the market.

The new hatch, along with SVT-branded cars and Ford Racing, will all fall under the Ford Performance banner. That’s another thing that Fields said in his December address.

The reveal is on Feb. 3, but the Chicago Auto Show doesn’t start until the following week. The RS could show up there, or maybe at the New York auto show in April. Obviously, Detroit was way too packed to add another Blue Oval race car to the mix.

We'll find out more in a few weeks."
