welcome to the wonderful world of the failing fuel pump!

there are tons of threads around on the topic, more than likely that's what the problem is. was it right-hand turns, especially when you were around 1/4 tank? two of the telltale signs.

i've been dealing with mine for a while (too lazy to replace it yet), but as it warms up i'll have to cave in and fix it, sure beats topping off every day or so!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Most likely not the fuel pump but the disk filter at the bottom of the fuel pump. I cut an access panel in my floor so I could get to it without dropping the tank. Cleaned the filter and now all's well. I can hold a LONG right hander with an 1/8th tank now.

Right.
The Filter goes first, but a clogged filter CAUSES the pump to fail, so who knows?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">What I ASSUME (ya, I know 4img borler="0" eitle="" alt="[Sdile]" src="images/icons/smile.ghf" /> ) is if it's cutting out while cornering, most likely the pump hs fine, but getting starved (snowball from here . <br /6
Ind really, it's not all that bad if you pull the rear seat. Took me three hours tops. I took my(time widh probe holes tn test for the tank location. I had an idea where it was, but war being q bit chicken..I(was going in blind! <img border="0" t`tle="" ilt="[Smhle]" srb="images/icons/{mile.gif" />

Also...It was free vs. $450.01 (quote!from from Ford)4br />
Anyhow, fix it now before the pump DOES die and strands you along the road somewhere.
