Relocated MAF sensor in FS Cool-Flo tubing that's attatched
to the throttle body.Filter is attatched right after the
MAF.Car is missing.Must be a bad spot to mount the filter
in front of the MAF.Anyone have any suggestions?

Just for the record Duratec Fanatics.Don't try to relocate
the MAF into a larger diameter tube without a reflash of the
ECU.Found out the hard way after incorporating the MAF in
a 3 inch tube.I figured the small diameter of the OE housing
was restricting the performance of all my upgrades. That's
true but my car runs like crap now and is probably slower than stock. It was a very nicely engineered setup except
for the ECU aspect.Had to go buy a new OE setup for $113.
The only way to buy the housing is with the MAF in it.
I need the car for work so I don't have the option of waitin
for a ECU reflash from Cosworth.Figured out the hard way that common sense always does'nt work with those damn ECU's.
I really miss my old carborated Mustang.Just a word to the
wise.

Sorry... yah the MAFS are designed to be calibrated to a certain diameter... thats how you measure volume of air... you know x amount passes point at... so the sensor measures the speed of that air, and calculates flow.

You either need to reprogram the computer, or get an aftermarket MAFS thats calibrated for that specific diameter.

Put the stock housing back into the sysyem and this car hauls.Used just the first tube of the FS cool-flo system
out the Fc 65MM TB into the stock housing and into a cone
filter and it seems much better than the complete system
that runs into the fender well. It's still picking up cool air from under the car in front of the trans.Only worried
about how it will do in the rain. With the header,no cats,
Borla exhaust and FC UDP,this car is really fun to drive
and it ran good stock. It's like another car now.It spun
2nd for a while and I was lucky if I got a chirp before.
Excellent car for the money and just the few upgrades
make this car great.Think I'll go with the BS delete and
SCT chip from FS to spice it up a little.
