EDIT: In case you're wondering why it needed painting and the frame is bent, I drove the car into the front of the Wal-Mart I worked at. I blame it mostly on having worked 5 shifts front to back consecutively and falling asleep, but the black ice and excessive speed didn't help either. I also filled the body moldings and plate frame that used to be there.

I haven't posted anything in a long time, so I thought I'd share the progress I'm making on the front bumper. It's primed and after some minor touch up it should be ready for paint after I have the frame put back in place.

Not bad for 4 year old paint after 3 winters huh?

Yes I painted it outside, and it worked perfectly. no dust on it or anything, it had just rained earlier in the day and the wind was gone so it worked out perfectly.

The grille was shot, so we decided for fun to paint it silver, it looks pretty neat actually but I'm still going to scrap it asap

There are a few imperfections you can see here, I'll be going over it again after winter, the car is headed off to storage next week (heated building with great security in it's own enclosed/locked/alarmed bay with an old Fairlane, and Integra, and one other car, best part is it's free through Canadian Tire)

People keep asking when I post if my car is lowered. It is not, it's the angle of the pictures combined with wide tires. as you can see straight from the side, not lowered at all.

Anyways, that's how she'll look until next spring. Then I'll install the JRSC I bought from Drew, along with all the parts I buy over winter assuming nothing else goes too horribly wrong:

4-2-1 header (done), 2.5flex + exhaust, MSD coil/ZX2 wires, new plugs, Lightning air raid intake, coilovers, new 205/40R17 rubber so I can lower the car, new end links, new audio wiring

After that's all done I'll take it to get tuned and see what she puts down to the pavement

Comments welcomed!

There was a whole locked post about it. I drove too fast into the parking lot, hit ice, didn't turn as indended, crash, broken bumper, myfault, lesson learned. I had also been up for at least 30 hours (we were closing a store and opening a new one and I was the only night manager working at the time so I had to work 5 shifts straight) so my judgement was more than just a little off
Good times! It was part of the reasonI quit working there.

I used some special goop made to repair urethane bumpers, it worked really well.

I am glad you don't live by me! It looks good. But there is a 100% chace that you got over spray on anything around your house! unles of course you live out in the boonies!

spent 2 hours clay barring my car once because of a jack ass 6 house's down spay painted his calibers red (there was no wind to speak off that day)
Oh [censored]. I don't have any overspray on my own car which was 0 feet away, or my buddy's $50K GMC you can see in the same picture. I'm absolutely anal about my car's paint, I'm not going to paint the bumper on the car if I think the primer I'm using is going to get all over the place. Obvioulsly when I paint it it won't be in the driveway. How your neighbor's calliper paint, which isn't exactly thin somehow defied gravity and decided to make it's way to your car a few hundred feet away on a day with no wind is beyond me. My car was parked in the lot where we just built our new warehouse at work, and we sprayed the whole building white. No overspray from that either. How strange...
pretty good dude.
$50K GMC?
he's gonna regret that one...
