So I have an Iceman with a K&N air filter. There is a hose that goes from the box to the manifold. I have notice that this is making my air filter really nasty, dispite the sponge in the box. Is there anything that can be done about this? And is this normal? Should I replace the sponge?

I think that's your breather filter. It comes from your crank case. It needs to be connected for smog purposes. It shouldn't be messing with your filter.
