Will the intake manifold from a zx2 escort work on a Focus? I have a loaner car from the dealer. because I broke my feul line on my focus. oops. but back to the escort. i noticed the runners are the same length and its a cast manifold. bigger runners. but the bolt pattern is very close to ours. any one try this yet?

i guess so. well ill have to find one at the local wrecking yard. we will see what happens. we need better flow.

Oh great! Don't you think you've made it hard enough for the SPI's to keep up? Well don't you?!!

The Escort was our secret weapon, but now... I must report this back to the hive...

I dont know if we can use it yet
. im going to try. We need a way better Manifold then what is offered. we have some on the market that offer good power at high rpm or they make great numbers under boost. But we only really have the 99 and 2000 stockers for a good n/a application. FR mani is good but it doesnt have the Low rpm torque i want. The mani off of a escort has the right runner length , minimal bends, and a good open runner; no pinched off pipes. but like i was saying i dont know if it will fit yet. this is something im exploring, so people will have an option.

Gig, if you know where my pills are, I'ld suggest you tell me... Is anyone else hearing those voices?

I am pretty sure that VCT engines have a different intake manifold bolt pattern. I believe that it is the same as the one on teh FR manifold.
