I will be getting the marcy motorsports intake installed next wednesday and we will be dynoing the car before and after the install that way they have hard numbers from a mtx car that they can post on their website. I hope this goes well and doesn't take too long.
Thank you Marcy Motorsports.

That's cool the best way to get real numbers would be to allow for the ECU to learn on the new intake for a couple hundred miles before you dyno that sucker..but sometimes time doesn't permit.
.
I am looking forward to wednesday. I am going to be bringing my digital camera with me (canon g3) so that we can get some pics of the install and the dyno runs. The pics could also be used for installation instructions for the Marcy Motorsport website.
Thats really cool
I'm goign to bed early tonight, got to leave SLO by 6:30-45 to make Bakersfield by 9am. What a crazy week, especially with midterms. I am doing a photo journal this year that I am going to release at the end of each quarter of the school year, my canon g3 is taking some awesome pics. I am looking forward to adding tomorrow's session to it. I am calling it "Life of Brian", the title works for a couple of reasons; my name is Brian, I am a huge monty python fan, and life is eerily similar to monty python. If they are interested I will take and send pics of all of the steps of the install so that they can post them.

Yeah...i'd like some pictures....I have mine on..but I dont think it's on quite right. Doesn't seem to fit perfectly. The other day the intake popped off the TB
WHOOPS...i knew i didnt actually stall this car on my own

that is a definite WHOOPSIE!!!

i shouldn't have any problems like that since they are installing mine.

Well, the install and dyno did well. Walter Marcy will be posting the dyno's as soon as he can. I picked up 10-12fwhp from the intake. This car feels different, it also sounds, as Walter put it, "sinister". Once it gets to about 3000rpm you can really hear it. It kinda sounds like the bov turbo sound, it is a nice sound that you don't really here when you are cruising, only when you give it the gas. From what I was able to gleam from him it looks like he has some serious plans for this car, but those are for him to divulge, not me. I'll just say that it looks like this platform has a lot of potential.
Aero, thanks for taking the time and trouble to volunteer your car.

And walter, thanks in advance for putting the time and effort into making your own intake, and then bothering to dyno it for us.
Keep us updated.

Very nice! Thanks!

I agree, I love the sound of my intake. The *whvoom* noise it makes is amazing. The air box must help out there.

I could have guessed the 10-12
This thing is a whole new beast with this intake on! Did yours seem to fit easily in there? I cant wait to see the pictures.

pictures didn't turn out too well because the car was more or less on the ground when Walter installed it. I did get a picture of the finished deal. If anyone wants me to email them a picture I will.

one other thing was that he chopped a little off of the extension and used a longer adapter hose on the throttle body. That was to help keep it secured better. It seems that the location of the engine is different in the atx and mtx cars.

That would explain it. That's the problem i'm having with mine.

Give them a call, they don't want any unhappy customers I'm sure.
