<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The name says it all. This is kind of a department store (and auto parts store) "quick-fix" for older, bad-running cars.

Marvel Mystery oil has been around for a very long time. They claim to reduce wear by lubrication the engines internals, but then every oil additive known to man makes the same claim. I for one would stick with a good 5-30 oil with no aftermarket additives, be in dino oil or synthetic.
I do not think the marvel mystery oil will harm your engine but then I am not a chemical engineer.

Ah Mechanic in a Can. I remember when i was working at a parts store and some kid was putting Oil stop leak(that real thick stuff that looked like syrup) into a brand new IS300. There really is no need for it in a brand new engine so just drain your oil and put in the right stuff.

Marvel is thinner than oil if you notice. I think it actually has some use in older engines that need their rings freed up, kind of like a gum remover.

I agree with the others its of no use in our new engines, but maybe harmful.

I've only used it in older vehicles with problems and it didn't do any harm...then again I'm not sure if any more harm could have been done. Change your oil and use a good 5W30 with Ford's FL400S filter. If you have over 6,000 miles on your car, change to synthetic for better wear and maybe better gas mileage...
