I'm thinking of a Mazda 3 engine cover to put in my Focus. Can i order one of these from a Ford parts place, or are they not available by themselves?

I checked Ebay and didn't see anything...

Usually have to pick them up directly from the Mazda dealer. I think it was about $250. It's been done before and looks pretty good if you can pull the Mazda emblem off, and fill that hole up.

Wasn't there a problem with the Mazda engine cover fitting the Ford engines? Or was that just on the 2.0? I can't remember.
I don't think its a snap-on on either engine. I think we need studs, or something for it to snap too. Not impossible, but just be prepared for a little work.

use car-part.com and locate one off a wrecked car. that'd be nice and cheap.

There's a few spacers and alternate studs that go on the cam cover. Other than that, it was extremely close to a direct drop in for the older cars. But since they changed that ps reservoir, I'm not sure about the new engines.

LOL i should be working on it this weekend. i'm still trying to get the mounting hardware for it. if anyone has a connection where i can get them let me know. i'm still not completely sure what year this cover is from which is why i haven't called a dealership to get the mounts yet. any info would be helpful.
