they kept the rear fender [censored]

go look at the wheel arch above a classic mustang

it's missing

gonna make it ugly as crap as a convertible, and benign as a coupe

the hood appears to be to tall, as in the height from the ground to the hood is too much, should be much narrower when looking at it from the side and/or front like a vette, kinda sloping down a tad.

Everybody quit bitching!!
The "Fender Arch" and the Hood look Fine to ME, and I grew up w/ Vintage 'Stangs!!!
Keep in mind, it's a "Retro-Modern Hybrid".
A '69 coupe was my cradle for goodness' sake!!!
I've been an "Enthusiast" since before most 'Jetters were born...

Gabe brings up a valid point, Michael. funny that a 69 coupe was your cradle; it's only a matter of a couple years before i buy myself a 69 coupe. that also means you of all people should be whining about the rear fender. dammit. LOOK AT THE 69!!!!!!!! GO!!!!

I'll bitch until i die. Why guys like Chris Bangle and whoever screwed the mustang up get jobs as automotive designers while I wash dishes is beyond me. Hell, the 'Homer' (simpsons reference) looks better than the newest bimmers.

Man, I think the "Camo" is getting you.
The Arch is fine, but the camo is hiding the "Flare" that accompanies it.
I See what you're talking about.
Don't be too quick to judge.
I think the disguise is fooling you.
It's a "60's Arch" w/ a "2003 Flare". (And no, I don't mean Flair
)
Once the Camo is off, I THINK you'll be more pleased.

i won't discount that possibility. I complained about it on the concept, and to be fair, they did say that they were going to rework the rear quarter panels of the car in the press release accompanying it

I only bitch because i love the mustang.

How many pieces of flair?

I hope they keep the car near identical to the concept, I loved the back end of it! Most people didn't, but to those people I say give it some time! It would refreshing break from the current styles we are seeing.

Man, I was hoping for more surface defition, deeper and crisper lines defining the "scoop" on the sides. But, this is J Mays after all, and surface definition is just not something he does. At all.
