Just got the bumper put on, waiting for the tear drop fog lamps, and working on the inside by replacing the shifter boot to a black suede with red stitching, and a short throw shifter. Will post more pics.

Gunmetal on red looks sexy. That bumper looks like its got plenty of room to fit an FMIC in

Just a little too much going on with the bumper for my taste. Paint looks good. Why didnt the shop cut out the side marker and fog lights before spraying?

I was just going to ask the same.

I love the SVT bumper so I think anytime someone swaps out the SVT for ANYTHING else its an automatic fail. With that being said I bet it looks a lot different once you have all the lights actually in place.

Oh and a FMIC deff would make it look a hell of a lot better for sure.

Sorry I have no idea what a FMIC is please explain, and bumper was destroyed in an accident, had to pony up the money myself since my insurance deduct was well out of my price range.

I have no idea about the side markers but I told them to leave the fog lamps for my self I didnt know how the mounting bracket was going to be like since I was switching from the stock SVT lamps to the tear drops.

Your car is Vermillion Red just so you know. Or did you repaint the car a different shade of red?

Weird... The E4 paint code should only come up as Vermillion Red or Infra-Red.

Because of the fact that it has three colors, chrome, black and red which the car has all three. Headlights being chrome, interior and windows black, and the car color. The stock ones where just red and plain. Plus I don't think taillights should cost $200 for something that looks the same. And another thing what people suggest on here is about what 80% of focus owners get anyways either stock or stock with nightshade. I think it gives my focus a different style of it's own.

The 03 EAP SVT is Vermillion and the regular SVT in Infra Red. If you put the two side by side, they are noticeably different. Its kind of a trip.

Very nice and you and I have the same color. Enjoy and take good care of her. If it is an 03 EAP in Vermillion, there were only 101 made in that color, that year, that trim package.

Yes it is the EAP 2003 SVT Focus and I was kinda figuring that it was a slightly rare car because when I looked up the original colors on a website, it said my car only came in comp orange and screaming yellow. Weird:screwy:

But I have some engine work to do like new spark plugs/wires, 4-2-1 headers, new manifold, maybe turbo but the only way that will happen is if I get a pell grant. :D

I do take care of her, she is just extremely loud for it being stock.

It is starting to rust over. From my knowledge this car has had the same parts since it was created, confirmed by carfax. Besides what I have already replaced or needs to be replaced on a basis, I think it is time to get some new parts. Since the fact that I am a new father, all my money is going towards her and making sure my car is running. So right now all of it is just a dream.

A stock, rusting header is a common occurrence in these cars. Shoot, they probably start to rust after being only a few months old. Its perfectly normal and there is nothing wrong with it at all, other than being an eye sore. You can have it jet hot coated or, for even cheaper, wrap it. Its purely cosmetic and not something that needs to be replaced on a regular basis.

Painting would be kind of iffy. Chances are that it will flake off over time and look worse than it did before. Jet hot coating is the route to take if you want something that looks nice.

*Note that it will not look be as shiny as that after a few engine heat cycles. Fades to a dull silver.

Black wrap would work but the black is only a dye on the wrap. If you clean the engine bay of the car out with a hose, the dye will fade out pretty quickly. If you plan to wrap the stock header, you will need to knock off the heat shield mounting tabs on the top and inside of the header. It isn't necessary but hey, if you are wrapping it, might as well do a nice and even job right?
