My baby was molested

I brought my SVTF to the shop yesterday to have the sunroof replaced and the horn fixed. I travel for work so I took my rental to Wash. DC and returned home late last night. This morning I woke up and drove to the dealer to pick up my baby and guess what!!!! The whole dealership was raided by thieves. Probably less than 12 SVT's of all sorts were up on cinder blocks and the windows shattered. Complete devastation, my car included!!!!!

What to do now but sit around with no car and no clue...

So if any of you see my wheels, tires, shift knob, shifter boot and any of my personal belongs on EBAY you let me know!!!

The real sickening part of this experience is that my car is not mine anymore, at least in spirit. I will get it back with shiny new wheels and such but she's been abused. At least when your in an accident you can punch the guy that hit you or be punched by the guy you hit. Not me, I just sit here and stew in fury.

Anyway, I'll post pic's tonight of the car on cinders and the damage for your review...

They say taking a shower after molestation makes you feel less "dirty"...

I know what your feeling man. I had a bike stolen when I was a kid and knew who did it. When it was retuned it wasn't the same but that feeling eventually faded.

Once you get her back and wash it really good then she'll be just like she was before. Her spirit is still there, she's just getting a face lift

I had a bike stolen once too and I used to see the guy ride it up and down the street... It was an old bike so I didn't care...

I'm a rational mature adult so I do recognize it is just a car and yes, I will get over it. But it is like the time (only more severe) when the technician at the shop changed my stations and changed the sound settings on the Audiophile. I was like who the F has been in my car and what the F gives them the right to touch the on button on my stereo. So now I take out the security clip just to hand it over the the shop.

Damn sorry to hear about your car getting vandalized at the dealership but I am sure they will be repairing it under the insurance they have.Hopefully you will get your SVTF back as soon as possible.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">That's too bad.

Maybe you can get Ford to give you back your money now so you can go buy a well-built car.

Did you have stock wheels or custom? If you have pictures of any custom parts that were stolen, post the pics where we can see so we can look out for them for you.

Someone on my Escort GT forum sent a link to a Mustang Cobra forum. This lady's 2003 Cobra was abused by a tech. The story reached everywhere. Ever since I read the thread, I vowed to never let my "baby" sit anywhere without me. Any work that needs to be done will be done with me waiting for it & NO road tests without me in the car

They were stock but the dealer has agreed to replace the stockers with the Ford Racing wheels "10 spoke Focus tuners" for the same value... My major concern right now is that the dealer is taking their good ole time getting my car off of the concrete blocks. There is only one block on each side and I fear it will tip forward or back and crush the breaks. Tomorrow I am going in to see if I can get them to throw on some old steel wheels until all the parts arrive.

I can't figure out how to post pics but I do have them if someone will post for me...

and I forgot to mention to those of you who commented above.

When I asked what responsibility the dealer would take in this matter the answer was a simple, and I quote "NONE".

If it doesn't get better tommorrow I will be posting a lot about the dealer, working the phones and letter writing campaign...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Oh man! That is so uncool that I would go directly for the jugular.

So, do they expect *your* insurance to cover it, and you'll pay the deductible while standing for a possible insurance hike over this?

Keep your cool and come up with a hard-core plan how to BENEFIT from your dealer's bad move.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">That happened here in good 'ol San Antonio at Northside Ford.

The guy even changed his sig to read " ex Ford mechanic " after the dealership fired him.

Luckily, I found a dealership that takes great care of me and my car. It's always the same when I get it back as when I left it. Of course, me visiting the dealership is happening way too much, I'm up to seven different issues with my SVTF.

Still love it though!

Well, I just read the back of my last service write up... and it specifically states they the dealership IS NOT responsible for damage to or theft of vehicles left for service.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Really?

Well then, I guess the thieves and vandals know exactly where to go to strip and vandalize cars... don't they?

Nice, open, unprotected lot with ZERO concern for vehicles that are in there for service. All you have to do is look for cars without dealer plates.

Almost wish I were a criminal.

Reign Storm,
I just saw the posted pics of your SVTF on blocks

If the dealership continues to put off the repair to your car I would recommend contacting an attorney to light a fire under them.
Also I would recommend getting wheel locks so that will help deter this from occuring again.Anyway I do hope that it gets repaired as quickly as possible for you.Keep us posted.Thanks.
