My daughter who lives in Minnesota turned 17 today and has wanted a car for some time now.So the other day she took my ex-wife to show her a Gray 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 5 speed manual with 74,000 miles in mint condition.She test drove it and fell in love.Called me all excited and I discussed it with my ex-wife and negotiated a price with the salesman and got financing along with an extended warranty and Gap insurance for a total of $192.32 for 60 months no money down.Fine.........BUT.......I decided to look down here in South Florida at a brand new 2007 Ford Focus in Black with a 5 speed manual and a full factory warranty including roadside assistance.I worked out a lease deal with no money down for $169.32 for 39 months.So my ex-wife is all excited and breaks the news to my daughter that she is getting a new car and not a used one! Another........BUT.........my daughter hates the color black(no other color available end of year) and I mean hates absolutely HATES the redesigned front end and instrument panel of the new Focus calling it square and prefers the look of the 2002 Focus and wants that one.Boy am I crushed thinking she would want a brand new car but wants the used one.So that is my dilemma.keep in mind I am just venting and my daughter will end up getting the 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 early next week.

I felt the same way about my car...so it's ok. For the money I paid for my 03' MCS with 47k miles, I could have got a brand new 06' MC for ~$1k more, but I know that's not want I wanted, even though it was brand new... Overall, I am MUCH happier I got the car I WANTED, even though it was used.
