My next set of \"wheels\"

As soon as the price on these come down to where I can afford it, I'm going to get one of these.

The store where I work had its anniversary sale on Saturday and the local community web site guy brought a Segway for everyone to try. It took one minute of practice with him giving instructions to get me going. In 3 minutes I was playing auto-x with the cones we had set up in the parking lot. Very easy to learn to ride and easy to control. It is also very manuverable(the store owner rode it up the handicap ramp and into the store and up and down the aisles.

Re: My next set of \"wheels\"

I drove one and eventhough the technology involved is pretty mind boggling, i didn' think it was the greatest thing. I prefer my 41cc gas goped with $300 in mods. Im hittin a solid 42mph on GPS. Once they make a Segway that does 30mph plus, I'll own it

I believe the HT is capable of going faster than it dose, but it is governed at a low speed because it was designed to be used on sidewalks with other pedestrians, not on roads with cars. Also HT's have 2 "keys" one is a training key, which sets the governor very low, so you can get used to the HT without accidentally going to fast and getting hurt. The second key rases the speed a bit, once your used to how it works. If NY would just legalize this thing for use on sidewalks it would be great in the city. It would be SO much better than driving (and that's its whole point)
