Well, I've got a lot of stuff into my Focus before, but never more than this. I was building a deck, and all I had was my trusty hatchback. So, load'er up boys!

I forget the exact load, but it was a number of 2x4 x 10's and 14's, and something like 108 1x5 x 6's. Must have been a couple hundred pounds in wood.

I already had the rear seats removed, and then I removed the passenger seat to fit the 14's in.

most ive had in my car was when i moved from cali to arkansas to my new base. pretty much everything i had, clothes, 27'tv, computer, everything... had to get my car weighed full and empty for reimbursment.

full tank and fully loaded, without me came in at 3427. empty with 1/2 tank no driver was 2615.

you think a stock zx3 is slow, try driving a stock zx3 that tips the scales at a little over 3600 lbs lol

Don't you just love hatchbacks? Too bad that the passenger front seatback doesn't fold foward and flat---it would make it easier to carry loooong items.

Edit: I just remembered the time I packed my '86 Escort to the headliner with bags of lava rock and a few sticks of lumber. When I looked under the rear of the car, the rear springs were close to fully compressed.

Not too smart, but it was only for five miles.

Believe it or not, I've actually had MORE Inside of my Focus.
(In other words, not counting the load you have protruding.)
I had a bureau in the hatch that was about 2 feet front to rear (it was on its back), and it went from the crammed back of my seat to where the hatch would BARELY close, and I even removed one of the interior panels to increase the entry-size into the hatch. (Where it hangs over to blend into the interior deck lid).
I had several things stacked on top of the bureau, a small TV in the passenger's floor, and a small nightstand in the passenger's seat, w/ clothes stuffed around that.
I have to quit helping people move....

I had 7 people in my car...4 in the back, 2 in the front passenger and me. Had to be more than 800 lbs of people...hehe...had to take them from the zoo parking lot to a club in waikiki...hehe...about 1/2 mile.

I've had the car "fuller" than this before too, when moving, but this was the biggest load. I just thought it was really funny, when I told the lumber guys I was putting 14" boards in the car!

Also, I don't condone this etc. etc. etc... But I was only driving a couple miles on a country road on Sunday. So
