What does everyone do with the boot after you shorten the stocker shifter? I cut about 3" off the shifter and now the boot looks all frilly and odd, it's pretty weak.

Is there a trick to shortening the boot, or is there a good aftermarket boot that I can use? I have a Momo knob, has anyone had good luck with the Momo boot kit? Does it look good? It's this one here... http://www.act-labs.com/scripts/proddetails.asp?pid=390

u pull the staples out that are in the wood holding the leather, then shorten leather to preferance, and restaple
