That will indeed be my first mod done in the spring. Either the H&R springs and ? dampers or the Eibach Pro-Kits and dampers (I'm looking for a <2" drop). That should tighten up the handling a bit and make it look better all-around. I'd like to get some 17's on but I may wait another year (haven't decided as I do like my stock 16" wheels). The other mod that will most definitely be done are projectors up front. I'll also be taking off the "Focus" banner and thus completely 'debadging' my ride (the back badges are OFF!). In its place goes the TEAM Focaljet banner sitting in my room (thanks, Ron!).

BTW, the only thing I don't like about the 'Street Edition' is the black "ground effects". It makes the car look even more jacked-up...those might have to be replaced by another set or painted...any opinions?

The cool thing about the Street Ed is that the ground effects are unique to it, as far as sedans go. So if it were my car I would paint them rather than repace them and have the car look like a regular sedan.
I think the trim (all of it--ground effects, door, trunk) would look killer painted. Infra red on a clean, lowered sedan would rock. I admit to being baised though---I am really into the monochromatic look. What style of wheels are you looking into getting for it?

looks good! the dealer in dfw that i got my 2nd zx3 from had like 20 street ed. sedans and wagons. needless to say, i almost didn't walk out with a zx3

one of those 5spd yellow wagons would have been cool.

man... re: my last post and LaZyRiDeR's thread, you 2 lit a fire under me... i washed my car today for the first time in... ummm... well... a long time! I realized my front wheels were silver.. I for got what they looked like inder the brake dust! thanks for the motivation! i needed that!

added:
as for the springs... I got the progress 1.8" drop springs, only like 160 compared to the others @ 215.. the drop is lovely, not enough to rub, but not high enough to fly over speedbumps... the ride is definately tighter and feels more sturdy.. a lot less body roll... i'd definately suggest them... you really cant get a better deal for the $

Thanks, guys, for the words...I know it's not the 'best' out there, but I love it. I was thinking of actually turning it into a 'SVT' by getting the SVT bumper, side-skirts, wheels, dash, etc. That could be cool. We'll see!

OK, everyone...now it's time to take it to the 'NEXT' level and I need advice BIG TIME!

Next month I'll have a bit over a grand to drop into my sedan and have two options, as I see it.

Either...

A) Drop it (springs and dampers) AND get the Hella projectors

OR

B) 17" rims and tires

What to do?!!!?!!!

PS - If you have a better suggestion than A or B above, I'd like to hear it too.

OK, I've got another idea and the one I think I'm gonna go with - lemme know, guys, if you think it would be something sweet - or something I should not do.

Turn it into a WRC sedan.

To start, this is what I'd do...

WRC Front bumper (fiberglass) from BAT - $495
WRC Side skirts (fiberglass) from BAT - $215
WRC Upper Roof vent from BAT - $99
Euro Center grille from BAT - $55
Euro Front turn lamps from BAT - $64

TOTAL = $928

Then I'd have them installed and painted to match my Infra-Red ride, obviously. I'd also relocate my antenna someplace else (maybe to the back like a Jetta?) and also paint my side moldings, mirrors, and rear trunk piece Infra-Red (maybe door handles too?)

WHAT DO YOU THINK?! I don't think I've seen a sedan tricked out this way.

Thumbs up or down?

PS - Should I also drop it 'slightly' (ie, Eibach Pro-Kit)? HELP!

Personally, I like the Eibach ProKit springs and ProDampers. I have them on my 2001 ZTS and like the combination alot. The drop, supposedly 1.2 inches, is closer to 1.5 inches but looks very nice.
