I'm looking for the narrowest tire that is a 205/40-17, since 195/40/17s are not very common and much more expensive.

From the researching I've done, it looks like Falken 512s run super narrow...but they aren't made anymore....

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yup Falkens are, from what I've heard, narrow. I believe any Falken will do too. Doesn't have to be the 512s

Awesome, thanks!
Go with yokohama for 195/40 i pay 120 a piece for them. Hell of alot different than a 205/40 and gives you so much more room to play with and go lower (;
I've heard yokohamas are noisy and wear really fast?
Falken 512 205/40 is narrower than ANY other 195/40. They can be had for like $360 shipped on ebay and discount tire has tons of them.

That's what I thought, thanks Matt!

I'm gonna throw my Nexens on the new wheels and see how it goes, if they're not narrow enough I'll order a set of the Falkens. Thanks guys!

Ken, I hate you for having those ATS'...Hope you wear dem shoessss to FR'12.
They probably won't be on the 2000 or any of the 3 Foci I own at FR12, probably gonna be rocking a different but better set then on that car

Falken512 compared to Nexen N5000 -- both are 205/40-17
HOLY BUCKETS MISS TASTY!!!!! Looks like someone asked the 512's if they wear thong underpants! [/end sex drive quotes]

They had a sale going when I ordered, but the difference was pennies

The 512 has the smallest possible belt package making it the most narrow tire in its size...downside is they're not going to make em anymore falken is going with the 612 which is a rebadgd 912...imo the tires are junk thy wear WAY to fast...but if its stance ur going for these are the tires for you...snatch em up while u can thy won't be around much longer. And the new 612 does have a wider steel belt package...tires is my job haha sell tons everyday
