i have a problem...i bent my rim, its not to bad but i hit a pot hole on the road, what is the best way to bend it back? its not bent that bad, it is able to be bent back, just not sure what way to bend it
If it is an aluminum/magnesium alloy forget it. That rim is ruined... I wouldn't bother trying to fix it. Trying to bend it back might cause the rim to crack. If it is steel, a wheel/tire shop should be able to bend it back and fix it. Anyway... Good Luck with it... Hopefully it will be an inexpensive and simple fix.
If you have full coverage insurance call and make a claim, just say you didn't see it until the last second (which is probably the case). (No your insurance wont go up) At most you will have to pay your comprehensive deductable.
To date I have bent 5 and killed a tire each time.
