Ok I have. 2002 svt focus. Every now and then my trip meter/odom goes blank my tach and speedo shoot up and drop and all my lights flash and the stereo shuts off. After this happens and I shut off the car it don't start. My check engine light came on and it gave me the errors of a bad IMRC and a bad valve sensor.
My question is would either of these cause the above said problems?

Thanx for the advice.. Also a lil more info. This problem seems to worsen when its wet or snowing. Yesterday I went thru the car wash and did an undercarriage wash and now today it won't start.

No. No cold air intake. I bought the car two years ago and when winter came along is when the problem began and it has just progressively gotten worse. The CEL came on last week and the error it shows is the IMRC and the valve sensor but I didn't think it would cause this problem. I did some research and read that a speed sensor could be the issue. However I would definitely prefer to fix a bat cable instead of replacing sensors anyday.
