They usually charge you full list price when they do that. Yea you get that amount for a trade, but you're paying that much more for the car you're buying. The reason they do that is because there's enough dumb people out there that believe everything their told.on a side note, anyone ever go to a dealer that they advertise "we will give you NO LESS than $8000 for ANY TRADE IN, even if IT DOESN'T RUN!!!"?
is that legit or is there some sort of catch?
They usualy mark up the car a LOT more than it's worth. WE have one place that does it a lot- went to look at a 2000 ZX3 with 5000 miles on it, window sticker was at almost 15000!!! (this was like 4 months ago!) 3000 min. trade, they're still ripping ya off!on a side note, anyone ever go to a dealer that they advertise "we will give you NO LESS than $8000 for ANY TRADE IN, even if IT DOESN'T RUN!!!"?

i am seriously interested in this, i would love an 03 PZEV instead of getting an 04, the cashback bonuses and stuff are great.. better to travel about 13-15 hours and save several thousand dollarsMake sure it's not a bait n switch kind of deal first.
And don't forget, if you're willing to travel, you've got a couple Jetters who can get you in a PZEV for cheap, slidemaster (Barber Ford in Ventura) and Dana (DanamaxSVT) --not to mention other Ford products as well.
But, the PZEV is soooo smoooove....
