I like it, but I'm increasingly confused why VW and Audi remain seperate brands. They're both screaming upmarket.

Pretty soon VW group will need to bring Skoda or a Polo here just so they still have an affordable car.

EDIT - You know, I think this really is the Phaeton. Can anyone provide a link to where this is stated to be the 2004 Passat? It does look slightly smaller than the Phaetons I've seen, but it could be just the picture.

My German isn't so good, but I was able to figure out that this is indeed the 2004 Passat. But will it be in the US in 2004 or in 2005? It seems VW releases new product in Europe a year ahead of their US introduction.
