Wow! You're right. They'd have to try really hard for that to look more like an old Tiburon from the rear!

I loved the original Solara lights with the small chrome ovals separating the different lights in the cluster.

maybe its cause toyota and lexus are practically the same company! toyota altezza=lexus IS300. almost every company uses styling cues from other cars in their lines. looks good none the less!

Wow. Gorgeous rear 3/4. THAT is what the Monte Carlo SHOULD look like. Yes, you can draw Tibby comparisons, but 1, the Tib was a gorgeous car to start with, and 2. the new Solara has much better proportions. Scale is everything. And of course this will come out as a convertible.

I think toyota is putting it in their toyota division with the known solara brand name because probably nobody was buying it as an SC430

I have one question though. How big are headlights going to get? I think the Solara takes the cake on the "longest headlights" award. They go half way up the damn hood!

I am not sure I agree with that styling theme.
