yeah, i kinda agree with Cheaper here (mark this day, lol).

overall, though, i think i've come to the conclusion that, at this point in my life, i'd rather own (4) $5000 cars than one $20K car. i just have too many likes to choose just one. at one point not too long ago i had my GTO, my bike, and my truck. i was a happy camper, but i've since sold the truck and pretty much regret ever since. and yes, i know the GTO is much more than a $5K vehicle, but in hindsight, i would much rather have a 10 yr old Mustang i could tinker with and throw money at rather than a $400/mo car payment that i won't see the end of until after i likely have my first kid.

If I had the available funds, I'd get whatever the heck I wanted, regardless of price. BMW M5 = about $85,000 so I guess that'd be it.

The last two cars we bought were in the 20K range. I would imagine that in a few years when we get new cars again it would be in the 20K to 25K range.
