i wanted a dyno befroe and after the install

my mods are:

ITG cone filter
icemant intake
ported 2000 intake manifold
FC 65mm t/b
Crower stage 4 intake cam
Crower stage 3 exhaust cam
FC 4-2-1 race header

awesome man...ya let us know how it turns out...what gear did you do the pull in. You might see more with some adjustable cam gears too!

I'm guessing you didn't do any tuning on the cams?

Sweet man! Can't wait to see some numbers with that new head!
Re: new dyno today 146whp

Nice...very nice.

What did the torque numbers look like?

Re: new dyno today 146whp

146 with no adjustables, no chip, no pullies? I'm having a hard time believe this one.

How can it be the stock head if you're running Stage 3s and 4s? It definately had to be modified for clearance issues, so how is that stock?

Iceman with ITG cone filter? I'd like to see the numbers with the hood closed, not open.

And most importantly, what gear?
Re: new dyno today 146whp

good stuff man. im curious, whats your mileage?

HOWS THAT NOT HARD TO DO. JUST ASK ALL THE FOCUS OWNERS
THAT STOP BY DAILY, THEY CAN VERIFY IT.

WHAT CLEARANCE, I TRIM THE EDGE OF THE CAM LOBE SO IT DOESNT HIT THE HEAD.

Iceman with ITG cone filter? I'd like to see the numbers with the hood closed, not open.

WHAT FOR? i HAVE A RAM AIR SETUP JUST LOOK AT IT ON MY SITE.

And most importantly, what gear?
it was done in 4th gear.

Modifying the head for clearance issues does not effect flow #'s.

Sorry, but who does a dyno with the hood closed? Every dyno graph you've ever seen has been done with the hood open.
Re: new dyno today 146whp

146 is pretty damn nice...must be those cams hookn you up...which makes me wonder what my car would do right now?? hmmmmmmm
Re: new dyno today 146whp

How much torque and where are you producing it? I'm guessing with those cams...it isn't much in a useable powerband.
Re: new dyno today 146whp

DJ,

I never said it changed flow #s. But making changes to the head so that cams will fit does not make the head stock anymore.
Every dyno I've ever seen has had an open hood? Glad to know you've seen through my eyes. In this case it doesn't matter, because he has a ram air hood, but close the hood on a short ram intake and watch the numbers go down.
We tested two different cold air types, and 3 different short ram types, plus 2 different versions of a modified factory box, with the stock filter, a flat panel K&N and no filter.

We tested them for peak power with the hood up and we tested them for power loss with the hood shut and the engine hot. We also ran them at the drag strip.

When we were done we took what we learned and designed our production version that we have for sale.

The short rams all made the most power with the hood up, as expected. They also lost the most compared to their own peak with the hood closed and the engine heat soaked. But the best short ram's peak was so much higher that it still made as much power as best "cold air" intake did when heat soaked.

In other words, the gains were like this:
[these numbers are approximate, from memory. We actually did these tests 2 years ago and I am not looking at the dyno sheets right now]
Short ram: Cold +8, Heat soaked +3
Long cold air Cold +5, Heat soaked +3

We also found that the air intakes that placed the MAF electronics into the tube didn't idle as well as the ones that used the factory sensor.

CT,

I'm not trying to pick a battle with you - I've just never seen such high numbers without the ability to tune. I think its great you're putting down the numbers you've got with your mods. Is there anyway you can post the graph, because I want to check out the torque curve.

Re: new dyno today 146whp

I buy it.... but I would think he just happens to be dialed in at the get go. Tuning won't get much with that setup.

I've got virtually the same setup making 130, except I have no cams. Get me some cams, and I'd bet that I'd jump up there as well.
Re: new dyno today 146whp

he has a bottom end built up by tom.

Re: new dyno today 146whp

Are you stupid or something? Why you giving ct flack over his car. He knows what the hell hes doing. I got no doubts that he put down those numbers. He runs 9.3`s in the eigth and iv seen the time slips. That car is extremely fast.
