That thing back? I remember when that was standard on some Ford cars.

the thing that I like about it is I dont have to worry about locking my keys in my car anymore, also during the winter I can just leave my car running and have the doors locked and not have to worry about anyone getting into my car

My dad had a turbocoupe with that. How much is it?
$100 from my ford dealer. Which isnt bad considdering that it is double to triple that to get the extra option on some other fords (that offer the option, as not all fords do,like the focus).
hmm... i should put this on my birthday/christmas wish list.

do you have a part number?
no I dont, I'll try and get it tom

Cheaper version, get a spare key. Works the same way during winter.

should like put it under the car so that it's like a last ditch thing to get in without a key and so it's invisible so nobody tries to play with it and possibly open your car
Had that on my 89 SHO, one code unlocked all doors, another the trunk and one more the gas door. It was so fun

Were they always wireless or is that new(1sh)?

/edit: heh, newish with the last 3 letters in paranthesis is censored!

That would be the best option. And it should come with the cover that you can flip off and punch it in (with no road dirt).
I'm sorry but those things are tacky.

I think it works the same as the key fobs and unfortunately the keyfobs don't work when the car is running. So you could use it to get in if you locked your keys in the car, but I don't think it will work if the car is running. Does anyone know for sure?

My dealer has a sign at the parts desk about it and it's $170 installed (dunno if it is a good deal or not, but I do like them)

i don't know for sure, but since it requires the factory keyless entry unit, i am assuming it operates the same way, in which case you are probably right when you say this won't work if the car is running.
Nissan's used to have that, you could open the trunk and I think even the sunroof with it
