That thing back? I remember when that was standard on some Ford cars.

Cheaper version, get a spare key. Works the same way during winter.the thing that I like about it is I dont have to worry about locking my keys in my car anymore, also during the winter I can just leave my car running and have the doors locked and not have to worry about anyone getting into my car![]()
That would be the best option. And it should come with the cover that you can flip off and punch it in (with no road dirt).should like put it under the car so that it's like a last ditch thing to get in without a key and so it's invisible so nobody tries to play with it and possibly open your car
I think it works the same as the key fobs and unfortunately the keyfobs don't work when the car is running. So you could use it to get in if you locked your keys in the car, but I don't think it will work if the car is running. Does anyone know for sure?the thing that I like about it is I dont have to worry about locking my keys in my car anymore, also during the winter I can just leave my car running and have the doors locked and not have to worry about anyone getting into my car![]()
My dealer has a sign at the parts desk about it and it's $170 installed (dunno if it is a good deal or not, but I do like them)Hey guys check out what I found http://www.zjstech.net/~library/510/key-pad.pdf
I went to the ford dealer today and ordered oneHe didnt even know there was such a thing, but we found it. so I ordered one. I think its a great idea.![]()
Blu
i don't know for sure, but since it requires the factory keyless entry unit, i am assuming it operates the same way, in which case you are probably right when you say this won't work if the car is running.I think it works the same as the key fobs and unfortunately the keyfobs don't work when the car is running.
