Re: New Member

Thanks all...
So far I really like the car. I have been a little on the fence on how the Focus was restyled. I didn't hate it, but also didnt love it. Then I saw what was done for the 2009 Coupe, and the subtle changes really made a difference. I am only on my 2nd tank of gas and have been averaging over 30 MPG's, and I have not been taking it easy by any means. This is a real fun car to drive! I've been most surprised on how well it handles.. I've taken a couple highway on-ramps at illegal speeds and it just wanted more. The addition of a rear swaybar on this car was exactly what it needed. I have pictures posted on photobucket... here are some.

Great looking already, oh, and welcome to the 'jet! :D

Nice! I like it too. The '09 looks much sharper than the '08. I still like the more traditional body style better (anything '07 and older).

nice looking 09!

I think the only thing i like slightly less about the 09 vs. 08 is the front bumper. The grill piece looks too much like a "puffer fish". An 08 front bumper with a subtle lip would be sex on that car.

but thats just my opinion. Just follow the styling cues from 2009 Focus Coupe build with pics!
and i think you'll do just fine :D

needs a drop and tint and then turbo and nothing can be done to make it look any better :D

I dont really have too many plans for it as it is my DD. I already did the tint, which really improved the looks. I do think it can use to be dropped about an inch to look a little better, but I dont want to mess with the ride quality much. As far as the turbo route... I already have my "fun" car. A 2000 Mustang GT that I swapped a 5.4L engine with a big cam. It makes 280hp/330 tq at the wheels. I am an instructor for www.3ballsracing.com track events with it. Here are some pics of the "fun" ride...
