damn those things are bright... i found a site that sells them for 7.99 a pair?!

thats real cheap compared to most neons and twice as bright from what I can see... I might have to get me some of these...

Well thank you all for the comments....i actually was waiting for the....that looks like crap....rice....comments but its nice to not see that
i will post a picture very shortly tonite on positions of them

they are cold cathodes....like 7 bucks for a pair
great deal.
in terms of visibility looking outside from in....its not that bad actually....i positioned them so the green beam is just out of my view but still lights everything up

I've waited a long time to put these in...in my red focus that i had i put blue neons on the floor and loved it...yeah i'll hopefully be able to come to sonic next time...
Bright as hell these things are.....by the way....my back windows are tinted :anyway i'll post some more pics later

Here is the new pic i promised...this picture shows the placement of the cathodes...the cathodes are held in place by small holes drilled into the plastic and zip ties!!!
Greens are in the headliner....Blues are in the rear window

the speakers are Pioneer 6x9 5 way's VERY clean sounding....and i reinforced the underside of the hatch with steel frame and dynamat

holy crap thats bright, and you have tint??? sweet, try to find a better less visible placement for them, maybe inside the plastic, then cover it or something, only leaving a sliver to shine through, i dont know...

1) I do have tint
2) apparently your able to take the cathode out of the tube so that it leaves just like a pencil thin cathode and you could "sew" it into the headliner...when i get time i may do this

Nice neons man. I like the way you did em and they are so cheap!

 

I couldnt resist after seeing those pics. I ordered a pair of them in blue for my hatch ICE setup . Hopefully they arent TOO bright for such a small area though, oh well guess time will tell.
