Hey everyone, I'm new to these boards, I just got a focus SVT today to replace my WRX wagon that I could no longer afford.

I'm so pleased with this car overall, it has far surpassed my expectations and I am going to enjoy driving this car.

I am going to dub it "Agent Orange" while my family fondly referrs to it as the "Euro Pumpkin" lol

basics:
2003 Focus SVT
Competition Orange in color
6spd manual ( duh )
Euro Package
Koni adj. struts w/ H&R race springs
AEM cold-air intake
SCT ECU-Flasher
EDIT: I forgot that it also has cross-drilled and slotted rotors
a Borla Cat-back exhaust ( not sure which model )
as well as an Alpine head-unit, and rockford fosgate sub in the back

I was told by the owner to come check out these boards, so lets see how it goes!

he is i believe, He's the one who told me about these boards. we got it for an awesome deal, and it only needs a little bit of work ( minor paint touch-ups, replace the windshield down the line due to a small rock chip, and get it balanced and aligned )

other than that its awesome and will be a perfect car for me right now.

as far as my old tbird goes.

its a 1962 with a 396 six-pack under the hood ( aka "tri-power" or 3 dual-barrel carburetors ) is in dire need of a full restoration, it was my first car that my dad and i were to fix up but it was simply getting too expensive. we would like to cherry it out some-day but for now she sits idle. it still runs ok it just takes some effort.

I'm really glad to see there is such an active community for the foci, i was afraid i wouldn't have anything after leaving the wrx community.

what do you mean the SVT owners are dropping like flies? are people not hanging on to the cars? If that's the case, i don't understand why, its an incredible little car. I freaking love those recaros, they are so much more comfortable than my wrx seats were. ( i'm big and tall mind you, 6'2" 280lbs )

looks sweet and it has got some good mods on it already. one thing that would add to the flare is some clear corners to match the lights. but its all personal pref. you can get them on ebay for 20 bucks.
good find and you will love your focus no doubt in my mind and welcome to the forums full of info and just good people go to your regional section and you can meet with some focus owners.

I still have the wrx in my posession actually, i still NEED to sell it

its the 2006 model with the 2.5 Turbo, and its a wagon and incredibly fun to drive.

the focus is just as fun, just not as fast

which is fine for me right now to be honest lol!

I kind of like the amber signals actually, it sort of blends with the comp. orange color. I will definitely get the euro grill ( anyone know of a badgeless one? )

i would like to check that out sometime, i just am super busy usually so i never have time to go to meets. i only got to go to a few subie meets. but they were fun!

There's a grille out in Europe called the Hofele that's badgeless and made of steel that's nearly bulletproof. It's pricy but totally worth it if you want the "shaved" look. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you a link to buy it since the site's censored on here (long story ). Your car is basically one of my 3 fantasy Foci that I'd love to own someday, so ya, you better keep her clean because you have a real gem there :thumbup:

only things i want to do soon are a signal-less or badgeless grille and get a good tint all around, i think i'll paint my calipers too since i have the drilled/slotted rotors lol.

i have one question, is there an easy way to adjust the foglights? for whatever reason mine are aimed too high

wow....that thing is SO clean that i actually took a second look to see if it had a different front end....its been so long since ive seen a focus that clean that i got confused. AMAZING car my man!:thumbup:
