So is there going to be a new top ten list for 2007? I'm talking times ran in 2007 and not from a few years ago. Just wondering. cause i guess due to the great weather we've been having down south some tracks are still open and some are opening back up soon. I'm lloking to get out and get a few trips down the 1320 sometime soon here

What's the difference between times ran in 2004 and times ran in 2007?

I just think there should be a top ten of all time and a current top ten. What if someone no longer can run that same time with there car? Or what if they no longer have that car. Thats Like going to a NMRA event and saying that you lost because some guy two years ago had a faster time then you did in the finals.

Just my 2 cents

I agree. Half of the cars in that list probably don't run any more.

^^ Exactly. If an NHRA record was set in 1994 can I argue that it isn't valid any more because the car is retired and the owner is dead?

Because then we'll have a bunch of 14/15 sec cars on the list.

actually i think you might be surprised. It really wasn't until this last year that a bunch of people finally started making it into the 13's and on the current list there is nothing even in the 14's

There is also alot of cars that have gotten a bunch of stuff done to them and will be going to the track this year and you may end up seeing more high 12's this year with how far some of these people have gone with thier builds.

I'm really hoping this goes through I think it would be a good decision

Trust me, there is one Focus being built for high 10's Low 11's for this summer. It is possible to see it eclipse into the 9's if the owner is ahead of schedule before the end of this coming track season. There is another that should be dead set into the low 13's. Even the "For all time list" will have some new company and some retirees.

Hell, my puny JRSC SVT should see 13's if I decide to purchase a 35 shot of Nitrous before J&S Safeguard and water/meth.

Well I know i'm lloking at 12s once I get a set of slicks on my car. (And a retune) I also know there are plenty of people that have been talking about hitting good numbers for the past few years but they always seem to never produce. I guess we'll just have to see what actually comes about this year

Then maybe the focus guys should get up and make some real passes? This community is large enough that it is pretty pathetic that there are not a whole lot more fast cars.

Well said. x100 for two lists. Look how dead the Drag racing forum is. Everyone is too worried about what lip kit or headlights they have. They should drop the money into the drivetrain instead of the exterior of their daily driver. And you wonder why other people think the Focus is a joke.

Very true statements. But you have to admit...the styling is old and needs to get some freshness.

But I agree, go before show!

My goal for this season is mid to low 11's... My car is currently apart for the rebuild, but it will back together and running soon enough.

I dont see the point of a 2007 Top 10. A TOP 10 is a top 10. Who cares who the fastest of this year is? I think it more important to know who the fastest ever has been.

I think both overall and of the year is better. Who cares about cars that don't run those numbers any more?
