49 more posts to go. But being a newbie is just fine. People look a lot more at what you contribute and a lot less at your post count. Sit back, relax, learn, and share. Don't forget to read the sticky (thumb-tacked) posts at the top of forums, and remember to put quotes around things you want to search for. Searching for car won't start will show you any post that has "car", "won't" or "start" in it, or any combination therein. searching for "car won't start" will only show you posts where someone said all those words in that exact order. The search is your friend once you know how to use it (I'll admit, it's kind of funky to get the hang of).
Swing by the Team Great Lakes forum and say hi to others that live around you. There's a lot of cool people in that area that you'd probably enjoy meeting face to face.
Other than that, pick your poison. If it's performance you like, we have tuning forums for every family of engine, and forums for wheels, tires, brakes, suspension and transmission as well as technical problems and general tech questions.
If you're all about the look, we have several style forums.
If you're all about the thump, we even have an area specifically for in-car-entertainment, alarms, audio, and all things electronic.
