definatly the way to go if you can afford the factory manuals. I have used them for a 95 lightning and a 04 f250 and they have payed for them selves in the amount of aggervation they spare you. as soon as I can afford it I am getting a set for my 03 foci.Code reader's free! If you wanna go above and beyond, look for hardcopies of the Mechanical and Electrical/Vacuum books off of ebay. They cost a pretty penny, but a 4th grader could do the work with the instructions and illustrations they give in the factory manuals. I have a set for my GT, I wouldn't trade 'em for anything.
How do I check the dpfe?also check your dpfe it measures the exhaust flow through the egr system. they are known to go bad. and that would tell the computer that something is wrong with the egr. it is the only way the computer knows that the egr is working. if it went bad it could just be that sensor and not the egr valve it self.
