NGR TYPE S BOV Review
I wanted a little more sound out of my focussport turbo system (had the VF Diverter Valve, louder than Bosch, but i wanted more sound) so I purchased a new NGR Type S BOV from New Generation Racing. It's basically a Greddy Type S but with better internals and no leakage. To get it to work I had to also buy an adapter for the Greddy flange. Worked out pretty good.
I went to install it and I mixed up the hoses (put the long one on the bottom and short one on the side.. didnt fit right at all and i knew what was wrong.. lol). Before I put it on the car I noticed it was hard to open the diaphram, very stiff springs i suspected. so i put it on and what do you know, compressor surge. so i took out the new bov and took out the 6 little screws and took it apart. it has 2 springs, one stiff one and one not quite as stiff.. i put the one in that was not quite as stiff by itself to see how it works.. and it works pretty good. it also has an adjustment screw on the top to fine tune it.
Overall it fits well and has a great sound, the videos dont do it justice. It also seems to seal a little better at idle. with the VF i used to read 19-20 vacuum on the eboost 2, now it reads 21 vacuum.
Here is a link to my video on cardomain of the BOV.

I was getting a little bit of boost leakage so I swapped out the softer spring and put the stiffer one in and tightened the top screw a little. now no boost leakage and AWESOME sound
