I saw a car with nightshaded tails the other day, and it looked like crap. It comes out as a flat black finish on plastic...and just doesn't look quite right. I wonder if there's a better way?
You Texans are lucky...You folks seem to be able to do almost anything...NY requires a permit to blink your eyes, it seems like...In Texas, it's legl to have Black taillight covers during the day, so when I had mine, I managed to never get pulled over for them.![]()
I did mine the same way. Looks nice, not dull, and no inspection issues.Used nightshade on my w/ no problems. I have 5 coats of nightshade and 5 coats of clearcoat. They will look a little dull if you don't use the clearcoat. Not hard to paint though and they turned out great. Mine aren't totally black, just heavily shaded.
