Made it! Yay for baby wipes! I hope our new office has a shower.

My MTB is such a diesel with the slicks on it. On the way in I told myself that once I can ride it to Cambria and back (50mi) then I'll justify getting a road bike. By then the power-to-weight ratio should be much more ideal as well :D

Gorgeous day, though.

Hey Dan, the next Daniel Abraham book drops on May 22nd. I'm going to pick it up and read it, then I'll send it your way. I'm going to buy The Steel Remains as well, that's a series I'd like to have in the geektastic home library.

Awesome! I just picked up the latest ORCS book. Will send it and the two Morgan books when I get a chance.

Mornin Norcal. I decided to switch it up today and I drove the Wankel to work. Did you know it backfires at 6k while shifting under load? Wankel is swankel. :D

Thanks! We actually got married April 16th last year, and we're just now having our honeymoon. The weather at lake Tahoe is so nice right now!!!

Also, Long Burn the Fire by the Beastie Boys sounds amazing with my Sony MDR-V6 headphones

i have a questions for you guys...I was riding the thrux yesterday and i had to down shift from 5th to 4th. when i did so it felt like it fell out of gear. after the shif and i got back on it there was no power, like it was in neutral. I down shifted to 3rd and it was fine. Went back to 4th and it was fine again. No problems since. What do you think could cause that. Can i half click down shift to neutral?

Let me say first, I know absolutely dick about motorcycles. I do know that you may not have had it all the way in gear or the clutch was only partially engaged, only allowing you in gear so far before popping out. If you didn't experience it again, I'd say you're okay, just make sure each shift is positive.

.
That all depends on the degree of vehikularz velocity, yer REVS and the angle of the dangle...

but srsly: it is possible to half-insert the lever input.

:p

Do you have teh h4ppy f33t? Are you doublay-declo0tchin' that biotch?

I have just! been granted a slight reprieve! Yay! (I need a few more days to clear out of here)

The fella who is heir to the property I've lived on for the last 12 years just said, "Take a few more days... I ain't worried about ya. You had a gift for stuffing that garage full, and I've seen a garage or two in my day."

Who wants some 25,000-mile-fresh STOCK 2003 ZX3 springs, dampers and it's 20mm rear bar? FREE! Local pickup only. :p

The sky is blue,
The grass is green,
The birds are chirping,
And the beer is cold.
I had Burger King for lunch in an effort to induce gastro-intestinal distress and head home early to enjoy all of the above.

It is possible to have the sequential between gears. It doesn't happen often but I'm sure wear could have something to do with it. It would be a really bad thing to have 2 gears engaged simultaneously so there is a small window where neither gear is engaged.

wear better not have anything to do with it. i have 305 miles on it.

Aaron, you coming down? We'll have to make time for this then. I'll be helping with the Scamp build but I'm sure there will be some time for beer and a photo shoot!

When you planning on coming by?

I'm not sure, I was initially just checking with you guys first. A. I don't want to impede whatsoever, so I would need an OK from the Fremont homeowner parties to know if it's cool to cruise down. B. I haven't checked with the wifey, so it's just an idea at this point. I would just love to see everyone and have a quick beer session. Plus, there's a few cars I haven't seen yet - A painted dime, a white car powered by spinny triangles, a red Acura, and some bedded cartruckthingy people are referring to as a scamp. :dunno:
