New thread time.... a little overdue.
I think you are probably frighteningly overqualified and she's scared. How is it that I can have a B.A. Degree in Child Development, yet not be qualified to teach preschool?? I'm so frustrated. One of the jobs I applied for, wants me to tell her exactly which of my undergrad units are ECE (early child ed.). I have NO idea. I told her this. I don't know how to find out either. It is my assumption...that I would have enough ECE (they require 12). I guess I'm going to have to do some research through SJSU.![]()
LOL, well that would be nice! Honestly, I am afraid that most preschool positions are going to pay around $10/hr. I will not take anything less than $15/hr and on my app. for this position I asked for $20/hr. I hope she looked at that and is taking it into consideration before she decided to have me research the heck out of this. This is not the place I had the interview for, it's a different one. I'm really hoping I will hear from the other one very soon!I think you are probably frighteningly overqualified and she's scared.
SJSU class of 2007 Woot!
Will be in Tahoe, otherwise I'd love to!Most definitely. However, the time I gave was 7:30 - Ann's going to dinner with some friends & I need some time to get the monkeys in bed. Is that OK?
Mike?
Dev?
Alex?
Craig?
Yeah, that definitely has truth to it. But, how hard is it to just be upfront and honest? She's wanting me to jump through all of these hoops...and quite honestly, I'd like to know if my salary requirement is even something they'd consider before going through all of this. However, on the bright side, I'll hopefully know how many of my units are ECE by the time this is all said and done."You're overqualified" is becoming the new cop out for employers that really mean "we're really looking for someone who will take $10 an hour"
Awesome! They have a good program.BTW my sister was in the ECE program at SJSU too. I think she was class of 97 or so.
Sounds good. Yeah, if you're going to replace the ball joints, which probably should be done with the mileage you've got anyway, new a-arms make life much easier.oh fur sure i just remembered 7. but 730 is better. put me down as a foo shoo. bro.
oh and i did some pricing i think i'll be buying a-arms this week....$85 each from tousley. and $25 each for tie rod ends.
That sucks! I hope he gets better soon! Are you taking care of him and feeding him soup? Make sure you tuckle him into bed and kiss him on the foreheadIt will be up in the air for Mike. It may actually be the flu, so if he is all better he would love to come!
How old are you going to be  I would consider this a quick BS & cigar session - you could be back home by 9pm. Don't worry on the cigar - I have extras. Plus, I have beer, wine, & just about everything you can think of in the liquor cabinet  No worries if you can't, I just wanted to throw that out there.Aaron I have to check with the gf.. My bday is on Monday and we have no kids this weekend. I am also not a whiskey drinker and am out of cigars.![]()
Oooh, change of plans - Cigars & whisky in Tahoe! We'll be up there next weekend - hopefully we get some decent snow between now & then. Will be in Tahoe, otherwise I'd love to!![]()
Morning all, hey Em, you know any more about the Auto-X this weekend?
There's talk of storms next week, hopefully they're nice and cold.Oooh, change of plans - Cigars & whisky in Tahoe! We'll be up there next weekend - hopefully we get some decent snow between now & then.

Who says it's not ok? :evilgrin:If it was OK to take out cones I'd have no problem then![]()
Ouch. That sucks. I'm getting my money this weekend though. Soooo excited. I totally need it.Oh...and I brought home <$9k this year (less than I have made in a several years). This is the first year I have ever owed money on my taxes. I have to pay over $2300, and only $900 was withheld. I still owe >$1400. I didn't exactly plan properly for the $18k in scholarship money.
