It's not "near" me. It's about 20 miles away in West Sacramento. :) It would take 30-45 minutes to get there. Just far enough for me to NOT shop there. ;)

Y'all closed that thread before I finished editing the all-caps cancellation feature... now my post looks retarded.

Gotta be quick around here Squire!

I've been so out of it lately, this is the most time I've spent on FJ in over a week. ;)

BTW...

Went to the fair for a few hours on Saturday, and there was a Ford booth, so of course I had to check out the Fiesta.

I actually fit in that thing incredibly well... I think it will be my next car (in a couple of years )

We're her at the hospital now. Kristina was watching Aussie V8 Supercars and now it's D1 drifting.
Thanks for the thread, Hale.
More updates as they come.

Peace and love my friends. :)

Anyone here remember the name Tom Walkinshaw? I knew of him as a BTCC team owner and sometimes-F1 team principal (?)...

Anyhoo, here's Mr. Walkinshaw behind the wheel, attempting a pole lap time while quali'ing for the '85 Bathurst... in a Jag 12 cyl.

Turn it up and watch closely around the 1:40 mark where he descends through the esses then rockets along Conrod Straight, winding the V12 and grabbing four more gears... so bitchin'...

Hey Norcal.

Steph, sorry to hear about your grandfather. Its your first and I wish I could say it gets easier, but it doesn't. Just remember that picture and how he was rather than how he left. It always makes me feel better when I think of my great grandmother.

Kris will probably have that baby around 8pm tonight. I predict 9lbs, 10oz. Anyone else want to make a prediction?

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I am finally getting to a point with Genna where I think I might have actually potty trained her. Holy. Smack.:banana:

Jen, I got an email from you today but I didn't check it. Why you sendin me spam, yo? :thumbdown:lol:

Get your beer ready, sports fans. The epidural is happening in a few min and the contractions are getting stronger and more regular. If she is ready for the epidural, she is at full on labor and it can happen in the next 3-4 hours from now. It will only take about 10-20 min to pop her out once the pushing has begun. Unless Kris pushes too hard and shoots that kid out with the force of a potato canon.

Good afternoon NorCal. Hoping one of you can point me in the direction of some free legal advice regarding a contract. Technically it is not a contract, I never signed anything, but it should be a legally binding document. Thanks.

Uh oh....trouble with The Man? :(

Oh and new update; Kris is getting the epidural right now and she is at 4cm, nearly 5. She needs to be at 10 to push. Shouldn't be long now.

Yes, Dan is asking for 6 times as much money to purchase the race car.

I didn't know you were planning to purchase a or The race car from him. How much did he promise it to you for?

I think he's talking about the NX2000 Dan used to race in TT.

Brad, if Dan suddenly upped the price, unless you are very attached to the car, i'd try to maintain my professional relationship and just say no thank you. I know it would suck as that is a very nicely prepped car, but if it were me, i wouldnt want bad blood with someone. I guess try to talk with him rationally, but my guess is that since your asking for legal advice, its gone past that point.

Again sucks to hear this man, and this is only my opinion of what i would do in this case, so hopefully someone with some legal experience can chime in if keeping this car is in your sights. Good luck man.

As an employment incentive, I have the option to purchase the NX for $1000. He is basically giving me the car because he could not afford to pay me what he originally offered. I tried to purchase the car before I quit, but Dan dragged his feet. Now that he knows I am quitting he is removing that option and offering me the car at a "discounted" rate.

This isn't a conversation I really want to have with everybody over a public forum. It goes beyond a stupid race car. It has to do with him trying to screw every single person he comes in contact with. I have been extremely professional throughout the entire process, even got several compliments including from my potential future employer. He mind ****s everybody, and it is about time somebody stood up to him.

So, if you can't point me in the direction of some free legal advice, I would like somebody that knows contracts better than I to tell me "Yes, you are entitled to purchase the car for $1000" or "It is going to cost you more than the value of the car to fight him in court."
