Re: My new Lip

With screws.
Like self tapping screws right into the bumper from the bottom up? I have a lip I need to mount but I need to get a jack or ramps cuz it's too low to even get under there.

Looks awesome. looks like a rendition of the SVT lip, I never would have guessed it was a mirror image of the bottom of the bumper.

Re: My new Lip

I want to know more about what you did to the hood because I was thinking about doing something similliar.
It was custom cut and had a frame made to hold it open like that by a friend. Then I did all the finishing work on it. I have a whole thread on it on FF, but I wont post the link here.

Lookin' good!
Thanks

different
Yes it is, I like it.

Cut bumper flipped upside down. LOL Looks nice

begs for sideskirts
Have some you want to send me? I agree it needs some side skirts and a spoiler.

both cars look good, but ive especially liked the wagon ever since you got it!!!
Wait until it gets done this summer! I got big plans for her.

Re: My new Lip

what % tint is that?

both look good
5% FTW! Same on the wagon. Im going to get the fronts done this summer. Thanks!

Lip looks fine, not a fan of the rest of the front the, but its your car. I like the mirrors and bump strips, and I vote to leave it wingless. drop and wheels too
I like the wingless too, but I need something in the back to balance it out.

What about the drop and wheels?

Re: My new Lip

Thanks guys its droped 2" already tho, and I like my wheels. The angle of those shoots isnt good for showing the drop. I am getting wheels for the wagon soon tho.

Re: My new Lip

Yeah its just held on by 10 or 12 1/4" sheet metal screws. The nice thing about mounting that lip on is you dont have to bend it or mold it to fit.

Re: My new Lip

If a mod could help me out and change the title to something like norcal's build thread that be awesome.

So I'm sure lots of you folks have seen my build thread on FF, but being that I'm on that site less and less, I thought I should post some pics here. If you want to read the whole thread tho here's the link...

Its kinda sweet to see the change of my car from the pics in the first post  She's been parked in my garage torn apart since December and I got her back on the ground running yesterday.

Re: My new Lip

Sweet man looks good!! Never thought about doing something like that!
Something like what?

you went black trunk, i was considering this! im not sure if i will though im too scared. :(

I went with the black trunk only a temp deal. I gave my white trunk lid to ED for trade of a CF one. I don't like the black trunk at all, it was just an easy solution at the time.

Bump for progress.

As some of you know, I had a mysterious electrical short. (Which is gone to the best of my knowledge) I had my pops tow the car home with his Silverado, and in the process we bent the plates of the strut tower bar. I thought towing the car by the bar was the best idea  So this yesterday I got the plates flatten back out and the bar fitting again. Next I have to strip the wax n polish off it and repaint it. I also picked up a SVT heat shield to keep a OEM look and avoid hassle from the police and SMOG peoples. I also tucked the radiator hoses on the back side of the rad support. My next project is to paint my hood and trunk. That way she'll be super clean on the outside once again.
