hey...mine got screwed up to do to k&n
the mass air flow sensor is so close to the air filter box it sucks the oil into it...the mass air flow sensor costs $400.00 ..well it did when mine went out 2 years ago.. i went to ford and they told me it was of the k&n filter.. but they would replace it this one time..but to answer your question.. yes.. they are the same..the only thing it does is measure the air flow in to the engine so it can make the right mixture of air and fuel in your combustion chamber
