Am curious, just what do you mean by "ripped out"? Is the old one stuck in the header? It shouldn't affect how the cars drives except that it will set a CEL, if you don't have one already.

my header got smashed which pushed my hole exhaust back. the o2 sensor is located on top of the cat right after the flange on the svt (dont know what its like on a reg. focus). the o2 sensor hit the motor and it broke off. half the sensor is in the cat and the other half was dangling. the hole for the sensor is now right under the motor and the header needs to be bent back so i can fit the new one in. but i was told not to drive around too long casue it can casue motor problems. just wondering if this was true or if i can just wait it out till i can buy an aftermarket header.
