Just wondering, which would be better to get, would an off-road pipe make better power then a highflower cat? Would either off them make much of a difference? I just put a borla on about a month ago or less, would it make it too loud?
I often switch between the stock catalytic converter and the FC off road pipe due to different autocross rules and classing between racing organizations.
There is a HUGH difference in performance between the two whether running a stock exhaust manifold or short header (FordRacing in my case). Noise increase is pretty hugh too with the ORP, it still sounds really good (Bosal Catback).
That catalyst being placed right up under the exhaust manifold is a major power robber! Ford did us no favors in this design.
