I haven't done it myself, but if you are just doing a normal stock replacement, I don't imagine it'd be that hard. You should be able to remove what is left in it relatively easy, I'd imagine.

With some might and old guy sweat you should be able to pull the rest of the broken tube out of the hole and push in a new tube. I did it on mine and it is just a light press fit. If you can get some pliers or vise grips on what is sticking out you should be able to do it.

If you take the oil pan off you would be able to punch it out from underneath. The hole gets smaller deeper into the block so you can only push it out. The oil pan has a re-usable gasket like our valve covers so it isn't so bad. Just drain the oil into a clean container and do it to it!
