With all the oil filters around, how do you come up with Quaker State. Too many owners spend all their research on oil, and not on the filter. What engine do you have, I think all or most of the focus engines have solid "cam followers" with no hydraulic lifters. generally lifter tick is caused by grit lodged in the tight clearance within the lifter bore and plunger. If you have tick (after warmup) it's probably just clearances. Ford has very tight bearing clearances (check some manuals at the libarary) so filtration is very important. Use a Mobil 1 - it's the best you can get and can get it anywhere. It will cost about $11, but it's worth it. I had an Eagle AWD turbo, and the Mobil filter took care of the problem. Good luck
