Opinions wanted on TB\'s

I'm considering getting a 65mm TB.
Anyone have any comments on the performance of it or any other info you want to share?

Thanks.

Great mod period. Jumps to revs much quicker. It takes a day or two to get adjusted to the change in street conditions. I would definitely recomend it since it's only about 250.00. It's a ten minute install on a manual. If you have the money do it, it's not a turbo or Type R sticker but you won't be disappointed.

Does anyone know what the 65 mm refers to? Is it the actual bore diameter at the throttle plate location? If the 65 mm refers to a dimension at another location, what is the throttle plate diameter?

Thanks...

Good mod, didn't hurt my gas mileage once the "new toy" factor wore off.

the tb is a great mod, but if you are going to do it do it right. Make sure you bore the intake manifold, be careful, take your time and all will be well. the only problem i have had with the tb, is when i adjusted the idle set screw because of a little sticking,(p1506 error code ) it threw on a cel, i have since then adjusted it a bit, brought down the idle a bit and so far no more cel. ( its also a good idea to use a bit of thread locker on the set screw )

Great mod as stated. Definately one you will feel and have the most fun with. As for boring out the the intake manifold, that is a do if you have the time and wanna be just say that you have done it. Boreing it out IMO is a waste of time and effort.

it is something that needs to be done. smooth airflow is something that is important for your engine....why do you think people p&p thier heads or bore thier intake manifolds...Iknow it is only like 1/16th of material on either side, but it is a flow restriction.
