The company that is doing my dyno tuning and supercharger work is fielding a C5 Vette for One Lap. It's one of my goals to participate in that some day.

that's awesome and all, but where's the focus? j/k randy, good luck and way to get some nice advertising!

have you guys ever looked into doing any parts for the new mini cooper? everyone on here and in the volkswagon community knows you guys have top quality parts. there's a pretty big contingent of mini owners and more people keep jumping on the bandwagon. just wondering if maybe you guys had ever considered a minisport?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I made the decision long ago that they don't make enough Minis per year for it to be a good investment. I did think about it at first, but we're gonna stick with the Focus and VW/Audis for now. We have a lot of parts that we still need to finish for those cars!

Randy you deal in Audi's also? If so I need some VERY important Audi info. I want to import and Audi to the US and want to know if it has been done yet in the Audi community. I have heard that it has been don under the 1 year rule but want it in the US permantly. It is a 2001 Audi S3 in yellow. We want to try and put it on the road but if not then as a race car for like Silverstone. James

PS yes we have the car now.

Ha, I had the very same, exact dream of importing an S3. Did all the research, got all the prices for importation, and federalization, etc. My friend at H&R even brought an A3 over to H&R North America and drove it down here to Euro Sport. VERY fast car, soooo much fun to drive. Zero to 60 in mid to low 5's, easily. My friend could only pull that off due to the fact that they were a German citizen. That car could never be successfully kept on the roads in Cali indefinitely. In certain states, they seem to be confused by the A3 and S3, so it might be possible in some little town in the middle of the country, but unless you are willing to pay for Ferderalization (up to $7,500), it can't be done legally. I'm sure that there is plenty that I don't know about the laws that would apply to this scenario, but after learning about some of the amounts, I stopped dreaming about it. Good luck.
