My PA used to make some HORRIBLE emissions after eating Fajitas.

PA is kind of screwed up. Right now, only the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh regions have emissions inspection. We currently have no emissions inspections for the rest of the state. But things are changing. Check this website for details.

I didn't go through the whole website, but from what I understand, PA is getting rid of the tailpipe inspection and moving towards an OBDII test (for OBDII cars of course), a visual check for missing equipment, and a gas cap sniffer test. So, if you have all emissions present, and are not throwing any codes, you should be OK. But you'll have to check that website to see when this will come into effect for your location.

The other unique thing about the new PA inspection laws is what they are doing for older cars. Non OBDII cars will only have to pass a visual and a gas cap sniffer test. In other words, the emissions equipment doesn't have to be working, it just has to be present.

One more note: Cars driven under 5,000 miles/year are not subject to emissions testing.

Edit: I'm a little confused here because on that website it says that there is no visual inspection for OBDII cars? That's cool because you could technically run with no cat and an O2 cheater. Like I do! That is contrary to what I originally heard. Originally I thought that there was going to be a visual check as well.
