Has anyone cracked open a set of Ford Racing/APC tails and painted the chorme housing? If so, did it only take a little heat to pop a seam or did you have to go Overhaulin style and cut it open? Pics would be appreciated

they'll def. break if you try pulling them apart. The construction is too crappy to withstand that sort of stress, and they dont use a softer silicone like the headlights use, its a hard glue. You'll have to paint the outside. (I had a pair for like 2 weeks and hated them, so i sold them)
yeah but look at the construction of the focus ones....i dunno i didnt try it. I thought they were complete garbage and sold them....If you wanna try it go ahead, they just look really breakable to me
See lol...told you i sold them...And he doesnt think they should be pulled apart either. The construction is sturdy, too sturdy for the plastic to hold up to the stress of being pulled open....
mine are painted, but i didn't do it. just make sure you use good glue when you put it back together. the glue ran on mine and i still need to fix it, but the painting looks good
