That would have been really really bad. Pigs and bears are some of the worst things to run into. About the same as hitting a rock.

 

What a horrible way to end your rally. He was going to stupid fast when he hit it though.

 

Wow that was crazy. I almost hit one once and you'd be surprised at the number of people who die each year from collisions with deer.

Tip:It's safer to hit a deer than to risk hitting another vehicle or a fixed object such as a tree, Apply your brakes firmly, hold onto the steering wheel and bring your vehicle to a controlled stop.

When we lived in Arkansas, mom was bebopping along down the interstate when a bunch of razorbacks took off across the highway. She managed to get one under her car, and said that was the most bloodcurdling noise you ever heard. Tore the bejaisus out of her front bumper, too.

Worst I've had is a little bird caught in my grill when I was leaving base one evening. That bugger got all balled up in there, too. ****er came off the grill in pieces. :thumbdown

WOW... I've driven a lot of roads like that up near Traverse City. You'll never know when a deer will jump out in front of you like that. All you can do is hold on and hope for the best. He's lucky he did not spin out and hit a tree after that one.

 

I hit a rabbit once, but only ran over the back. It felt something like a little speed bump then I looked in my rear view and saw it drag it's self off the side of the road with all it had left with it's front legs.
