PAX is a system that attempts to compare drivers with different vehicles. Its a multiplier that is applied to your time, so you can then compare your times with someone in a Corvette. Its not perfect, but still fun to look at.

 

PAX times are set every year depending on the level of competition and relative times of the top competitors in the country at national-level competitions. A-Modified has a PAX of 1 (raw time x 1) and H-Stock has a PAX of .774 (raw time x 1).

a lot of regions/clubs have a PAX championship or trophy at the end of each event.

 

Also, if the club has a novice or ladies class, times are paxed, since all different type of cars can be in that class.
